- 09:00 Departure
- 10:00-11:30 Sevanavank Monastery on the Sevan Peninsula
The Eastern and the North-Eastern parts of Armenia are beautiful, just like any other part of the country. They boast different, yet equally stunning landscapes and offer fresh air and velvet-green woodlands.
Followed by a ride through the captivating mountain ranges of alpine pastures, the first site of the trip- the Sevan Peninsula, has much to offer. The peninsula, which was once an island, is in Lake Seva
n, the second biggest high-altitude freshwater lake in the world. The peninsula also holds once of the oldest monasteries in the country, the Sevanavank Monastery.
- 12:00-12:40 Walk around the central square of Dilijan
- 15:00-16:00 Haghartsin Monastery
After a delicious lunch serving the local fish, the trip will proceed to the beautiful Haghartsin Monastery. The first is located in the depths of the emerald-green forests of Tavush
, surrounded in the distance by tall, beautiful fog-covered mountains "protecting" the monastery and the village as a mighty stronghold.
Keeping up with the theme of lakes and greenery, the last stop of the trip will take to the one of the most captivating landmarks in Armenia- the Parz lake (Parz meaning clear, transparent). The beautiful lake is in the peaceful depths of the forest, allowing the visitor to obtain an unlimited amount of fresh air and truly leave all the troubles behind.
The day trip will end with the relaxing journey back to Yerevan.
